Mellisa A. Reilly is a distinguished family law attorney with a rich background and unwavering commitment to legal excellence. Her passion for justice continues to make significant contributions to the legal community.

Mellisa grew up in Metro Detroit and graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2015, followed by an exemplary achievement at Michigan State University College of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Spring 2019. During law school, Mellisa interned at the Washtenaw County Public Defender’s Office and the Eaton County Prosecutor’s Office. She also worked as a student clinician in the Chance at Childhood Law Clinic.

Mellisa’s professional journey has been marked by impactful roles, including serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan, New York. Prior to her full-time position, she excelled as a law fellow in the Special Victims Bureau, showcasing her dedication to the intricacies of the legal system. During her time in New York, Mellisa handled a high volume caseload including cases involving child abuse, sex crimes, domestic violence, and hate crimes.

Mellisa returned to her home state of Michigan in 2021 and joined Wilson Kester as an Associate Attorney handling high-conflict divorce matters, personal protection petitions, and custody/paternity disputes.

With specialized training in Collaborative Divorce, Mellisa brings a unique skill set to her practice, emphasizing resolution and cooperation in legal proceedings. Her commitment to professionalism, legal acumen, and a proven track record make Mellisa a trusted advocate for her clients.

When she’s not advocating for justice, Mellisa cherishes her time with her new husband and family, walking their beloved mastiff and enjoying all of the Northern Michigan beauty.
